i'm going to start designing futuristic clothing soon, hopefully. i can't believe the awesome fibers that you can buy at any local fabric store.. microfiber, polyfibers, etc. there are also patterns in just about every pattern book which can be modified to be pretty badass. i would like to actually start designing my own patterns eventually but you've gotta start somewhere.

anyone feeling me on this?

    Severina,

Yes I think that's a great idea. Personally, I am partial to latex, pvc, leather, and cotton though I would encourage you to design in whatever material you feel is appropriate to the style.

Hopefully tribe.net will incorporate some type of forum or bulletin board where photos can be posted and we can all check out your designs...

I think more day to day clothing needs to incorporate stainless steel... knees, elbows- shoulders. Shiny is good... metallic is sexy.

Mens clothing - we need good mens wear. As a male, there is almost NOTHING available - well in Toronto there is, but not here in the good ole usa.

Great idea. Personally, I live somewhere in the middle of the nowhere so I dont have any (cool) clothes to wear or any (hot) places to go. So Severina, if I make a catalog for you representing your products (since I do some graphic design)will you send me somehting to wear (since winters can be fucking cold in FInland)? And M@, if I buy you a drink in Cardinal Bar would you adopt me to Madison ?
It sounds funny to live in Finland, but its not.

Funny - you want to move away from Finland, and I was just talking to people about moving to a place NEAR Finland - Sweden... specifically Stockholm. Hey what about Helsinki? That place seems to be a hell of a town...

I think no matter where we as humans live - we always want to move somewhere else. Hmmm - or maybe it is just our generation. Personally, I'd love to have dual citizenship someday with a country int he European Union so I can live/work almost anywhere in the word...

I, sadly, agree. Lived in the UK my whole life, and now live in the US. Things are tough.

The grass *is* always greener I guess.

Anyway, a great place to check out for some decent industrial designs is CyberDog. I have a few of their very nice tight fitting items.. good to wear, good to be seen in.

Expand their stuff with an even bigger variety of materials and you are on to a winner.
